Why is it called a tennis bracelet?
The term “tennis bracelet” originated during the 1987 U.S. Open when tennis player Chris Evert lost her diamond bracelet during a match. She requested the match to be paused until the bracelet was found, sparking a surge in popularity for this style of bracelet. Since then, it has been known as the tennis bracelet.
